Amy's Kitchen Macaroni and Cheese and Lean Cuisine Chicken Ranch Club Flatbread Melt

My financial planner recommend I start buying a few items here and there from the grocery store to compare the flavor to Jenny Craig.

I had already heard of a couple other programs to get out of Jenny Craig, one is called Jenny on My Own and the other one is similar, using grocery store items from Lean Cuisine, Smart Ones, etc.

So, the other day I bought Amy's Kitchen Macaroni and Cheese and Lean Cuisine Chicken Ranch Club Flatbread Melt.

I am definitely comparing them to what Jenny Craig has to offer.

I thought they both sucked!

I was very hopeful that I could find reasons to quit Jenny Craig sooner because it's just so damn expensive, but then, I try the competition and the flavor is just bland and leaves nothing to be desired.

Argghhhh. Pisses me off.

I thought for sure Amy's Kitchen product would rock because, well, because quite frankly, i love their cheese enchiladas and if those taste amazing, quite surely so will the mac n cheese... but no... just NO.

Now, the Lean Cuisine Chicken Ranch Club Flatbread Melt took me two days to eat. It's very filling, it has that going for it, but it's so bland. I actually ended up dipping it in chicken dipping sauce (like think of Chick-fil-A dipping sauce): huge improvement!

I could buy that again as long as I have chicken dipping sauce to pair with it, and a good salad.

The other thing I have been doing is after talking to my representative, she helped me realize that I don't have to give up fruit smoothies. Because my fruit serving from the morning and or milk serving, I can save and use to make my smoothie later in the day.

I love smoothies. It gives me an opportunity to add all my supplements to it and I need those to keep me regular... yup, I just said that. 😉
